Time Out

Melissa Crytzer Fry

Yes – I am still in the midst of Edit Palooza … But I took an editing time out this weekend with hubby and his friends. (I’m really not blogging if I’m only sharing photos, right?)

Enjoy these views from our 4WD venture (with Betty) in the Box Canyon area of the Sonoran desert.Β (And don’t forget to click the first photo to enlarge, then tab through. It’s the only way you’ll see just how green Arizona is this time of year).

Wow! AWESOME photos! I miss AZ, but your pictures help. Best time of the year there – IMHO.

Thanks, Linda. Am editing away at about the pace of a tortoise. Glad I can bring a little slice of Arizona to you.

Gorgeous photos! I love all the green and the sunset photos, too. This is our green time of year, too, and the wildflowers are all about to bloom.

Funny you should mention wildflowers. I was just out today taking photos of poppies! Will be a so-so year for us, given the amount of rain we had. Have some lupine and penstemon popping up right now.

These pictures are so beautiful and vivid! But mostly the look so nice and warm to me — we’re still in the 30s here in Maine. Thanks for a warm break πŸ™‚

The pictures are deceiving. It was in the 90s, so it was TOO HOT (had a bit of a warm spell the past week — way too reminiscent of summer … not ready for those 100-degree days). Sorry you’re still cold in Maine!

As I said to Laurie – am really missing my Twitter pals, but am making progress on the editing front. Yes – the inspiration breaks are SO necessary (especially during the grueling process of revision). May have to post some more shots during Edit Palooza!

Beautiful photos, Melissa. So interesting! Gorgeous sunset. As Char and I were driving down to Tucson for the festival we both commented on how velvety and green the desert looked.

    Rachna,
I can no longer comment on your blog since it doesn’t allow name/url options, so I’ll do it here :-)… Per your pitch post: Happy three years! What wonderful reminder about querying — Character, Conflict, Choice, Consequence and Confrontation. I agree: it’s totally an art form and maybe THE hardest part of the process, condensing an entire story into a few sentences. How wonderful that you had a chance to absorb some of the agent comments. SO good to hear from you.
